We're a small, senior team. No bureaucracy, no mediocrity tolerated. If you care deeply about craft and want your work to have real impact — you might belong here.
These four principles shape every line of code we write, every decision we make, and every engineer we hire.
You own your work end-to-end. Not just the code that compiles, but the feature that ships, the performance that holds, and the bug that wakes someone up at 3am. No blame-shifting, no handoff excuses — if it's yours, you see it through.
We believe the quality of engineering is felt even when it's invisible. Clean abstractions, thoughtful APIs, code that the next engineer won't curse. We don't ship things we're embarrassed by — not because of pride, but because we care about the work itself.
We say what we mean. In code reviews, in client calls, in estimations. Polite vagueness wastes everyone's time. We prefer uncomfortable honesty over comfortable ambiguity — delivered with respect, but never watered down.
The best engineers we know are perpetually learning. We're working on hard problems at the frontier of AI and distributed systems — not CRUD apps. You should want to be a different engineer in 12 months than you are today. So do we.
No whiteboard algorithms. No trick questions. We hire the way we'd want to be hired — direct, respectful, and focused on real work.
30 minutes with Sabee. We want to understand what you've built, what you care about, and whether we're a fit — not your GPA or which companies you've interned at.
A focused take-home challenge relevant to our actual stack. Designed to be completed in 3–4 hours. We review your architecture decisions as much as your code.
One week, compensated at your rate. You work on a real (or anonymized) task from our pipeline. We see how you collaborate, communicate, and make decisions under real conditions.
If it's mutual, we move fast. Competitive compensation, clear expectations, and no surprises. We don't lowball and we don't play games.
We're a deliberately small team and we only hire when we have something real to offer. But we're always open to exceptional engineers. If you're senior, opinionated about architecture, and tired of doing work that doesn't matter — send us a note.
Sabee@5ivenodes.comThe best hires we've made weren't from job postings. Tell us what you're great at and why you want to build with us.
